Court Actions

Several cases were heard in the area courts.  A couple of the cases include…

In Livingston County Circuit Court, 33-year-old Tyler Dillion King of Chillicothe entered a guilty plea on a charge of receiving stolen property.  In exchange for the plea, the state recommends 5 years in prison, a 120-day program, to run consecutively to any other sentence.  A sentencing assessment report was ordered and sentencing is scheduled for July 10th.

On April 18th, a hearing was held in Livingston County Circuit Court for 30-year-old Josue E. Medina of Sonora, CA.  Medina pled guilty in November, and sentencing was held in January, he completed the 120-day program and appeared before Judge Ryan Horsemen to begin the remainder of the sentence – 7 years in prison – suspended and 5 years of probation.
