Photography 101 for Teens at Youth Library

The Teen Department of the Lillian DesMarias Youth Library offers a variety of educational and engaging programs for teens in April.  These free events are for ages 12 and older, and provide a fun and educational atmosphere to explore new hobbies, learn valuable skills, and connect with friends.

Upcoming programs include:

Photography 101 with Janae
Thursday, April 10th | 5:30 p.m. | Teen Program Room
Join local photographer, Janae, for a hands-on workshop in Photography 101. Learn basic tips and tricks for capturing high quality images using your phone or camera. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this session will help you take your photography to the next level.

Teen Gaming Night

Gamers are invited for an evening of friendly competition and fun playing Nintendo Switch. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just getting started, this event is all about enjoying video games in a relaxed and social setting.

Stitch Squad
Thursday, April 24th | 5:30 p.m. | Teen Program Room
Get creative with the Stitch Squad — this crafting event is perfect for teens who want to learn the basics of sewing, embroidery, or other fabric-based crafts. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and willingness to try something new.
