Betty Eileene Hall, a lifelong resident of Grundy and Livingston County, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the age of 101. She was born the daughter of Sam and Oma (Coffrin) Bowe on March 11th, 1925, in Chula, Missouri, Betty lived a life full of love, dedication, and warmth. Betty’s educational journey took her to the 8th grade in Chula, after which she dedicated her life to her family and the farm. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Hall, who preceded her in death on August 16, 1991.
A devoted farm wife, Betty was passionate about farming and gardening, spending countless hours nurturing the land and her plants. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as sitting on her porch swing and sharing stories with friends. Her home was a welcoming place, known for the candy table in her dining room, where visitors could always find her favorite chocolate turtles.
Betty is survived by her son, Rick Hall, and his wife, Gayle, of Laredo. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her granddaughter, Mackenzie Weldon, and her husband, Scott, as well as four cherished great grandchildren: Reece Weldon, Quin Weldon, Drake Weaver, and Jax Weldon. Betty’s memory will also be carried on by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, June Prewitt, Nina Grace Cox, and infant sister Jacqueline Bowe, as well as her brother, Gerald Dean Bowe.
Betty Eileen Hall will be remembered for her kindness, her love of the land, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her life.
Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation is scheduled at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may sign the register and pay their respects at Lindley Funeral Home on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 1:00 until 5:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Laredo Christian Church and/or the Laredo Fire Department and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
