David Wayne Kimmis

David Wayne Kimmis, age 77, a resident of Meadville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his residence.

Wayne was born the son of Frank L. and Mildred E. (Harris) Kimmis on October 8, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1966 graduate of Wheeling High School. He lived his life rooted in the land working as a self-employed farmer. Wayne has a true passion for farming. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheeling. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include three sons, Brad Kimmis (MeLinda) of Chillicothe, Missouri, Tom Kimmis (Kari) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jerry Kimmis (Paulita) of Page, Arizona; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Kimmis (Linda) of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister, Barbara Manning (Chuck) of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Wheeling and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
