Donald James Reeter

Donald James Reeter, age 52, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, in Columbia, Missouri. He was born the son of Gary and Beth (Cox) Reeter on November 10, 1973, in Chillicothe, Missouri, Donald spent his life in the community he cherished.

Donald was a dedicated aviation mechanic, known for his exceptional skills and passion for anything with a motor. His love for cars and airplanes was evident in both his professional and personal life. A true enthusiast, he was happiest when surrounded by engines and the hum of machinery. Donald was also an avid hunter and gun enthusiast, finding peace and joy in the great outdoors. Beyond his mechanical prowess, Donald had a love for movies and traveling, always eager to explore new places and enjoy new experiences. His adventurous spirit and zest for life were infectious to those around him.

Donald is survived by his wife, Sarah of the home: daughter Chloé Reeter and son Everett Reeter, both of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by his two step-sisters, JoEllen Anderson (Larry) of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Angie Taylor (Michael) of Chula, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Reeter and Beth Nibarger.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri and from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be held at Brassfield Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donald James Reeter Memorial (Please make checks payable to Sarah Reeter) and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
