Margaret Ann (Booth) Barnett, 89, of Breckenridge, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 under the care of hospice and her family. Margaret was born on March 25, 1937 to parents Byron and Winnie (Harper) Booth in Grundy County. She graduated from Chillicothe High School then worked as a book keeper for several years. Margaret married Elmer Barnett on February 4, 1955 in Trenton, Missouri.
Margaret enjoyed singing, plants, flowers, watching birds and her cats but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Breckenridge, Missouri and of the American Business Women Association.
Margaret is survived by her Children; Deborah Johnson of Breckenridge, MO, Jefferey Barnett of Breckenridge, MO, Cynthia Greenwood and Kim Flettre of Centerville, IA Grandchildren; Chantal Miller of Brookfield, MO, Shawn (Annie) Murphy of Dearborn, MO, Amber (James) Rider of Seguin, TX, Jennifer Mohr of Temple, TX, Tiffany Ann Barnett Pace of Arlington, TX, Ashley Greenwood and Jeremy Miller of Independence, MO, 11 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren Brother Lawrence Booth and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret is preceded in death by Parents Byron and Winnie (Harper) Booth, Husband Elmer Barnett, Son Elmer Barnett Jr., Son in law Russell Johnson, Brothers; James Booth, Clifford Booth, Donald Booth, Harold Booth, Doyle Booth, Franklin Booth, Sisters Lucille Rosson, Hazel Tharp.
Margaret’s funeral services are at Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe, MO. on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. with burial to follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Breckenridge, MO.
