2026 Chillicothe High School Senior Awards Top $1,000,000

Scholarships and awards were presented to Chillicothe High School seniors at the Annual CHS Awards Assembly.  Principal Dan Nagel talked about the support for these students by local families, businesses, and foundations.

CHS Seniors will be awarded $341,000 and when factoring in additional awards and scholarships,
the total is over one million dollars, with renewables bringing the potential total to nearly $1,600,000.

Scholarships presented ranged from $100 to $10,000 to assist the students in their post-high school education.

Notable scholarships presented this year include:

The Virginia Wall Scholarship of $10,000 – presented to Luke Thompson, and $7,500 – presented to Lydia Gabrielson.

The Jerry Litton Scholarships of $5,000 – presented to Lyla Beetsma, and $3,000 – presented to Molly Kennebeck.

The Kenneth & Eugenia Churchill Foundation scholarships of $8,000 – to Helena England and Elise Reid.

The Joshua Quinn & Abby Quinn Bois Memorial Scholarships include $6,000 to Jack Marshall and $4,000 to Oliver Perry.

Dr. William Fair Memorial Scholarship of $7,000 to Arisha Shafiq

The Ronnie and Dolores Stamper Educational Foundation Scholarships of $5,000 each to Sadie Bonderer, Beau Graves, Hayden Hansen, Ava Leamer, Trixie Leppin, and Luke Thompson.

The Jolene Haas Anderson Trust Scholarships, totaling $30,000, ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 awarded to 19 recipients.

The Nolan Chapman, Jr and Margaret P. Chapman Memorial Scholarships of $3,500 each, presented to eight recipients.
