Filing for the April 2025 Elections opened today. Individuals who would like to be a candidate for local elected office may file today through December 31st.
In Livingston County, there are numerous elections to be held, including all of the area school boards, generally with at least two board positions on the ballot.
City Elections will be held for Chillicothe, Chula, Ludlow, Utica, and Wheeling. Chillicothe’s election will include all elected offices.
The Public Water Supply Districts will have board elections. There will be elections for the Ambulance District Board, Nursing Home Board, and Health Center Board.
Fire District Board Elections will include: Grundy County Fire, Hale Fire, Green Township Fire, and Moorsville Fire District, as well as the Chillicothe Rural Fire District.
There will be elections for all of the township boards.
Check with the office for the organizations to determine where to file. The Ambulance District and the Health Center will have filing at the Livingston County Clerk’s office.
