Chillicothe Area Industrial Park North Will Seek Certified Site Status

As the city of Chillicothe and CMU work towards completing access and infrastructure to the Chillicothe Area Industrial Park North, they are also working towards becoming what the Missouri Department of Economic Development calls a Missouri Certified Site.  Chillicothe Economic Developer Terry Rumery clarified what that means.

Shovel-ready and meet the state’s requirements.

Rumery says Chillicothe has made significant progress towards meeting the requirements.

Completing the water and sewer work. Still have work to do on signage, rail, and road plans.

He explains the importance of a Certified Site.

Companies want to know how fast they can get in, and Certification tells them you are ready to move.

He says knowing a property or park is ready provides an advantage to the city and the businesses that are looking.
