Sixty-six calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Monday.
Officers assisted in recovering a handgun reported stolen to a southwest Missouri agency after a serial number check by a local firearms dealer.
An oversized load struck a traffic signal at Washington Street and Park Lane, damaging signal heads. MoDOT was notified, and no injuries were reported.
Other calls included a medical emergency, a welfare check, and a juvenile who left home following a family disagreement. Officers also responded to a motorcycle fire on Ashley Avenue, with no injuries reported.
In the evening, Chillicothe officers assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with a warrant service on Webster Street. One person was taken into custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
