Chillicothe Police handled 67 calls for service on Thursday.
Officers issued a speeding warning during an early morning traffic stop and later cited another driver for expired license plates. Police also took a fraud report from a resident who received a payday loan scam email and provided information on how to respond.
The day’s most significant incident occurred at a Monroe Street care facility, where officers investigated a possible drug offense. A man was detained and found to have an active warrant from another Missouri county. He was taken to a local medical facility and later released on his own recognizance after the issuing court was contacted and paperwork was completed by his legal guardian.
