The Chillicothe Police Department report for Tuesday includes 91 calls for service.
Officers investigated a report of possible counterfeit money being passed in the 1000 block of South Washington Street. A report was taken, and that investigation continues.
Officers also responded to a report of a suspicious person possibly pointing a handgun at children near Clay Street Park. The person was found to be a juvenile with an airsoft gun. The juvenile was taken to the Police Department, and parents and the Livingston County Juvenile Officer were contacted. The juvenile was later released to a parent, with the incident being forwarded to the Juvenile Office.
Officers also conducted a well-being check on juveniles in the 400 block of Paul Street and found unsafe and unsanitary living conditions. The children were removed, with assistance from the Livingston County Children’s Division.
An assault was also reported Tuesday. A suspect has been identified, and charges are pending.
