A Tax Rate Hearing and regular School Board Meeting will be held Tuesday at the district office.
The Tax Rate Hearing begins at 4:45 pm. The proposed tax rate for the Chillicothe R-II School District is $4.6208 per $100 valuation. That includes 3.4654 for Incidentals, $.9660 for Debt Service, and $.1894 for Capital Projects.
At 5:00 pm is the regular school board meeting. The agenda will begin with the introduction of 18 new teachers in the Chillicothe R-II School Distict.
Old business includes the payment of invoices and the presentation of the 2026/27 Program Evaluation for Summer School.
Under New Business:
The Financial Report, Consideration of the 2026 Tax Rate, Prepayment of the 2016 GO Bonds, The Conflict of Interest Policy, Bus Routes, Setting the date for the September Board Meeting, a declaration of surplus property, and a Special Education Compliance Plan.
The board will consider the Principal’s reports, review correspondence, and enter into a closed executive session to handle personnel, legal, real estate, and student matters.
