The Chillicothe R-II School District is back in session, and the students in the Elementary through High School are back in the classroom. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says early enrollment figures show student numbers are down from last year.

That is down 29 students from the first day of class for the 2025/26 school year.
Dr Wiebers says there were only minor problems with the bus routes, and families that have not registered their students to ride the bus can do so by contacting the bus barn by calling 660-646-4566, ext 2.
