The city of Chillicothe is working on setting the budget for the fiscal year 2026/27. City Administrator Roze Frampton noted this takes work from the city hall staff and the department heads.
Sales Tax is part of the budget they are looking at closely.
The council will have a budget workshop before the budget is finalized.
Workshop planned for Mid-March, and CMU’s workshop about the same timeframe.
The budget must be finalized before the start of the new fiscal year on April 1st.
