The special Chillicothe City Council session Monday afternoon was for Organizational Development. The elected officials participated in an exercise and discussion that helped to identify areas of dysfunction and conflict.
The meeting was at the request of the group. The goal was not to assign blame or single out individuals, but to identify how personalities within an organization process information and how the perception of the process can cause an unintended conflict.
Scot Wrighton from Interim Solutions led the program and says two of the keys to reducing the conflict are clarification and communication.
