Hale firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire at 2:20 am Friday morning. The Hale Fire Protection District responded with seven personnel and three apparatus, arriving in about 5 minutes to find smoke and flames from the front porch of a home. They were able to bring the fire under control within minutes, preventing further spread.
The fire crew was on the scene for just under an hour. The investigation determined the cause was accidental.
