A Flood Advisory is issued until 9:15 this morning for Portions of Chariton and Grundy and all of Linn, Livingston, and Sullivan counties, due to runoff from heavy rains Tuesday night and through the overnight hours. Minor flooding in low-lying areas and poor-drainage areas is possible.
Flood Warnings are issued for the Grand River, including at Pattonsburg, Gallatin, Chillicothe, Sumner, and Brunswick.
Pattonsburg – flooding is expected by this afternoon, as the river rises above 25 feet, with a crest of 31.8 feet expected early Thursday afternoon.
Gallatin – flooding is expected this evening, with a crest on Thursday of 28.3 feet, and the river falling back below flood stage later in the day.
Chillicothe – flooding is expected from this evening through late Friday, as the river rises above flood stage of 24 feet, with a crest of 29.4 feet Thursday morning.
Sumner – flooding is expected from late tonight through late Sunday night. Flood stage at Sumner is 26 feet, the river is expected to rise to a crest of 33.7 feet Thursday evening.
Brunswick – flooding is expected from Friday afternoon to late Sunday, with a crest of 19.7 feet. Flood stage is 19 feet.
