Flood Warning And Storm Damage

Heavy rains and storms across the KCHI listening area resulted in storm damage and a flood warning.

A Flood warning is issued for the Grand River at Sumner.  Flood stage at Sumner is 26 feet.  The river is expected to rise to flood stage early Wednesday morning, rising to a crest of 26.5 feet before falling back below flood stage Thursday morning.  This is now extended to Thursday afternoon.

 

Storm reports from the National Weather Service for the storms that moved through the area Monday afternoon and evening include

A report of a downed tree on Caldwell County Road 465 at about 10:15 pm

Downed wires and power outages in the Hamilton area at about 10:35 pm
