Grundy County Jail reports another recent booking into their facility.
23-year-old Tomy Jo Wheeler of Green City was arrested by State Troopers and booked on four counts of alleged endangering the welfare of a child.
The probable cause statement indicates the woman’s children, a 4-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy, were in the road on Route N at the Green City Street Department on June 6th and at North Green Street on June 7th. Troopers were notified both times, and the mother stated she was asleep when the children wandered off in the first incident.
Following a report to the Children’s Division and an investigation, on June 23rd, the Sullivan County court issued a warrant for Wheeler’s arrest.
She is held with a cash-only bond set at $1,000. Bond conditions include no unsupervised contact with minor children, and she is not to relocate the children out of the home without the court’s permission..
