With harvest underway, there are many farm vehicles on the roadway, from tractors and wagons to farm trucks and semis and, of course, combines and other harvest equipment. Livingston County Farm Service Agency Executive Director Raysha Tate says patience is important around farm vehicles on the road.
Be aware of the slower-moving vehicles.
She says to use caution when attempting to pass. Never pass in a no-passing zone – before you pull out, make sure you are seen by the equipment driver. If the equipment slows even more, they may be getting ready to turn and that may require a wide turn, so give them the time and space to complete the turn safely.
