The Jameson Picnic will be held this Thursday through Saturday. This is the 135th year, making it one of Missouri’s longest-running annual community events. The community celebration has brought families and neighbors together since 1892. Spokesperson Anne Rauth says this is a community event.
Been around so long because it is so successful.
She explained the event honors Jameson’s history, hospitality and volunteer spirit through food, entertainment and traditions passed down for many generations.
Rauth mentioned two special additions to this year’s Picnic. The first is a Car Show on Saturday.
“Pies from the Picnic: Celebrating 135 Years of Deliciousness.”
The car show will begin Saturday, after the annual parade, and run through the afternoon.
