Livingston County Ambulance District Rolls Back Tax Levy

The Livingston County Ambulance District board approved its tax rate of .1958 per $100 valuation as part of their meeting on Tuesday.

In the August primary election, Livingston County voters approved a 3/8 of 1% sales tax to fund the Ambulance District.

Following Tuesday’s meeting, the Board President Eva Danner-Horton released the following Statement.

“Per the ballot language and state statute, a rollback would automatically take place next year.  However, the board unanimously agreed to do a voluntary rollback this year, which places the levy for 2026 at zero.  The Board is very appreciative of the voters for their support in passing the sales tax proposal, and we wanted to fully carry out the message that the sales tax would replace the property tax.”
