Livingston County Ballot Items On August 4th Primary Election

The Livingston County ballot for the August Primary Election includes one countywide ballot item and two township items.

For all Livingston County voters, the ballot includes the Livingston County Ambulance District Ballot Question.  It reads:

Shall the Livingston County Ambulance District be authorized to reduce the existing property tax levy by imposing a sales tax of three eighths of one percent for the purpose of providing revenues for the operation of the Livingston County Ambulance District, provided that the property tax imposed by the district shall be further reduced by one-half of the amount collected by the full sales tax amount in the prior year, and be further authorized to impose a use tax in an amount equal to such sales tax, provided that if the sales tax is reduced or raised by voter approval, the local use tax rate shall also be reduced or raised by the same action?

 

The voters in Cream Ridge Township will consider a General Road District Question.

Shall the Cream Ridge Township General Road District of Livingston County renew the existing tax levy of thirty-five cents on the hundred dollars valuation, for a period of four years?  If approved, the current total tax levy will be set at thirty-five cents on the hundred dollar valuation.

 

The voters in Sampsel Township will consider a General Road District Question.

Shall the Sampsel Township General Road District of Livingston County renew the existing tax levy of thirty-five cents on the hundred dollars valuation, for a period of four years?  If approved, the current total tax levy will be set at thirty-five cents on the hundred dollar valuation.
