MoDOT Discusses Unfunded High Priority Needs

Representatives from MoDOT met with residents of Northwest Missouri Wednesday at the Chillicothe Welcome Center to discuss unfunded MoDOT needs.  Trevor Tutt from MoDOT explained how those needs get put on the State Transportation plan.

Working with the advisory committees and regional partners.

Tutt says there are two projects in the areathat have been moved to the High Priority list.

A turn lane on US 65 south of Trenton and intersection improvements on Highway 11 in Brookfield.

In Chillicothe, a project that was on the list for some time was improving the Mitchell Street Junction.  Tutt says that and others on US 36 are now scheduled.

In Chillicothe, Bucklin, Brookfield and Wheeling.

These will require some redesign of the intersections for safety and efficiency.
