An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for all of the KCHI listening area until Saturday at 8:00 pm. The warning is issued due to dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 degrees.
Impacts include: Heat-related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
Recommendations include: Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, and stay out of the sun. Also remember to check up on relatives and neighbors.
