Preventing Senior Scams

The Livingston County Health Center is the first to partner with Chillicothe Rotary After Hours Club in presenting information about senior scams.

After Hours Chair Katie Chaney hopes the group will have several such presentations as part of its community service focus. Scammers have targeted older adults who are losing money and security – and invites not just senior citizens to the presentation.

Have a trusted contact, a benefit for seniors and those who help them

Thanks to the Health Center and Active Aging, seniors are invited to the Health Center on Thursday June 25th at 3:30. Topics to be covered include how to avoid becoming a victim, how to recognize scam attempts and what to do if you think you have been scammed. The session on June 25th should last about an hour and include time for questions.
