A two-vehicle crash in Caldwell County Friday evening left three people with serious injuries. State Troopers report the crash occurred at about 6:43 pm on US 36 at Nettleton Road, about five miles east of Hamilton. According to the report, a 70-year-old Hamilton man had pulled into the crossover at Nettleton Road to go north before pulling into the path of a westbound vehicle, driven by a 58-year-old woman from Lincoln, NE, and was struck on the passenger side.
The crash resulted in serious injuries for a 16-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl – passengers in the vehicle from Lincoln and for the 70-year-old Hamilton driver. The Driver from Lincoln and the passenger in the Hamilton vehicle, a 62-year-old man from Hamilton, had moderate injuries.
The 70-year-old Hamilton man was flown to Truman Medical Center. The Lincoln residents were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, and the 62-year-old from Hamilton was treated at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
