The Chillicothe Police Department report for the weekend includes 184 calls from Friday through Sunday.
Friday: Officers investigated the theft of a 49cc moped from Maple Street, responded to a verbal domestic disturbance, arrested a person on a Livingston County warrant, and began investigating a reported dog bite. Officers also checked a possible impaired driver and a report of property damage, but neither resulted in further action.
Saturday: Police made two warrant arrests, including one during a traffic stop and another after a subject turned themselves in. Another driver was arrested for operating a motorcycle with an expired license. Officers also responded to several false fire and business alarms, investigated a report of a careless and imprudent driver, and checked suspicious activity that was determined not to be criminal.
Sunday: Officers took possession of found property to be held until its owner is located and investigated a complaint involving disturbing social media messages. Because the incident occurred outside the city’s jurisdiction, the case was referred to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. Police also conducted routine traffic stops, business checks, and followed up on ongoing investigations.
