A two-vehicle accident Friday evening injured three people in Caldwell County.

The Highway Patrol reports the crash happened around 6:50 p.m. at Highway 13 and Highway F, about three miles south of Kingston.

Authorities say a 2013 GMC Yukon, driven by a 44-year-old man from Cowgill, failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2022 Ford Escape, driven by a 22-year-old woman from Braymer.

The Cowgill man suffered moderate injuries, while a 43-year-old female passenger in his vehicle received minor injuries. Both were taken by Cameron EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center. The Braymer driver also suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Caldwell County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
