Accidents And Arrests From The Highway Patrol

One accident and one arrest are reported by the Missouri Highway Patrol for the area counties on Monday.

A two-vehicle crash in Ray County left two Polo residents with minor injuries.  State Troopers report the crash happened on Highway 13 at Route D, as a vehicle driven by 79-year-old Rita E Gorham of Polo was eastbound and failed to yield, and was struck by a southbound semi driven by 20-year-old Nathaniel McWilliams of Kansas.

Gorham and her passenger, 77-year-old Ronald Gorham, had minor injuries and were taken to Ray County Hospital.  They were wearing safety belts.  The truck driver was not injured.

 

A Kansas City man was arrested by State Troopers in Daviess County Monday evening.  Fifty-five-year-old Daniel N. Leggard was arrested at about 7:00 pm for alleged DWI – aggravated offender.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 24-hour hold.
