Airport Fuel System A Success

The Chillicothe Airport self-serve fuel system has been successful since it opened late last summer.  Airport Director Toby Calivere told the council they have had steady fuel sales.

Average of 12 planes and 414.4 gallons per month.

Calivere says the self-serve system also reduces the need for him or staff to respond to the airport to pump fuel.

The Airport does continue to offer fueling services when requested.

Projects planned for the airport in the upcoming budget year include the upgrade and relocation of the AWOS or Automated Weather Observing System, which will give real-time weather information to pilots.  They will be replacing windows and doors at the terminal building and have plans for painting the city’s hanger.
