A change of date for the August School Board meeting and setting the date of the 2025/26 Tax Rate Hearing were approved by the Chillicothe R-II School Board.
The board meeting will be held one week after the normal schedule. The meeting will be August 26th at 5:00 pm. Superintendent Dr. Dan Wiebers says the change is due to the start of the school year.
To avoid a long day on the first day of classes.
The board set the date for the district’s Tax Rate Hearing. That will take place on the 26th, at 4:45 pm, just ahead of the regular meeting.
Dr Wiebers says the proposed Tax Rate will be announced by mid-August.
