Back To School – Chillicothe Police

Chillicothe and many other area schools have students returning to the classroom this week.  Captain Curtis Hays says that means a change in traffic each morning and afternoon.  He says be aware of the changes and allow yourself extra time.

Teachers, students, and buses on the roads.

If you see a school bus, be watching for the flashing lights and the stop arm.  If the stop sign is out, traffic in both directions must stop until the stop arm retracts.

Watch for children walking on or near the streets, and know that they may not always cross where they should.
