Body Of Missing Gallatin Woman Found

The body of a woman reported missing in Daviess County was found in the Grand River.  Fifty-five-year-old Julie Vyrostek of Gallatin was reported missing to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office on November 26th.  On the 28th, deputies received a report that her vehicle was found on a field access near the Grand River.

A search of the area was conducted over two days and included the land near the river.  The Highway Patrol and MDC water rescue teams were called to search the river.  Specialized equipment was needed and the search was called off.

On December 1st, just before 1:00 pm, the body of a woman was found in the river and was later identified as Vyrostek.

November 24th, Vyrostek was charged in Caldwell County with alleged stealing and forgery.
