The City of Wheeling is under a Boil Water Advisory. The Boil Advisory was issued due to work within the water distribution system. The Boil Advisory is in place until further notice.
Under the Boil Advisory, water used for cooking or drinking should be boiled for at least three minutes.
Ice cubes made with tap water should be thrown out and remade with boiled water.
Dishes and surfaces that come in contact with food, should be sanitized with a solution of clean tap water and a teaspoon of unscented bleach per gallon of water.
