A request to put a bump out into the street in front of Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery was presented to the Chillicothe City Council. Levi Chappel presented the details of the bump out that would take up two parking spaces.
Eight-foot bump out that has a sloped curb.
A possible statue or flower box could be placed in the bump out, more in line with trees planted on the sidewalk areas.
No decision was made, the city will check with all departments affected and also check on a previous decision on a bump out in 2015 or 2016. The topic will be on the agenda for the first city council meeting in June.
