A Cairo man had minor injuries when his vehicle caught fire while he was driving. Saturday at about 5:10 pm in Chariton County, 56-year-old Rodney D Creed of Cairo was eastbound on US 24, east of Salisbury, when his vehicle caught fire. State Troopers report Creed was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with minor injuries.
