Chillicothe Fire Department responded to a call of a field on fire Friday afternoon at 6652 LIV 528 in Chillicothe.
Upon arrival at 3:37 p.m., heavy smoke was seen south of LIV 532. Crews dispersed and started putting out hot spots. The landowner, David Morris, stated that controlled burns had been conducted two days earlier, and he believed the field must have reignited due to the heavy winds Friday.
Jamesport Fire and Chula Fire were also dispatched and assisted in extinguishing the blaze in approximately 52 minutes. Approximately 300 gallons of water were used.
