Ninety-two calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday. The calls include:
At 7:14 a.m., officers took part in Warrior Wednesday at the elementary school, welcoming students and staff.
Late Wednesday morning, police located an unattended child walking without shoes near East Jackson and Paul streets. A 22-year-old man was arrested for child abuse and neglect and taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
Just before 1 p.m., officers arrested a 38-year-old man on a Livingston County warrant for trespassing. He was processed and released.
Around 8:30 p.m., police investigated a hit-and-run at Broadway and West Polk. A 31-year-old man was arrested. He was processed and released.
And a few minutes later, officers conducted a well being check on East Street.
