The fire department ordered the pumper truck in the previous budget and the funds were placed in a CD.  The truck is expected to be delivered at the beginning of 2026.

The City will use about $2.8 million from reserves, including $1 million for the pumper truck that was previously allocated.

The budget does include a 2.5% cost of living increase for employees and salary adjustments in some areas.

The Fire Department will also spend $750,000 to refurbish the 2004 Tower Truck.  Half will come from the current year’s budget.
