Chillicothe Airport Wildlife Damage Assessment

A wildlife damage assessment project at the Chillicothe Airport will take place soon, possibly in April.  Airport Director Toby Calivere told the City Council they will be meeting with representatives from the USDA Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service to set a date.   Airport Board member Ron Miller explained the wildlife management project process.

A one day (24 hour) survey of the wildlife at the airport.

They will then look at what can be done to reduce animal strikes.  This could include several options including tall fencing.

The $1,000 cost of the survey was approved by the council.
