Chillicothe Board Of Public Works Approves Refuse Truck Purchase

A new refuse truck and net metering were part of the Chillicothe Board of Public Works meeting Tuesday morning.  General Manager Matt Hopper says that if approved by Chillicothe City Council, the Refuse Department will receive a 2027 model refuse truck.  Delivery is expected to be in June or July this year.

Hopper says the Annual Net Metering Report was presented.

Solar connections to the electric grid.

Hopper says they have a couple of projects that are ongoing.

Expect to start the engine on the combustion turbine generator on February 16th
The wastewater project is moving along well, and the lime drying beds
have been completed for the water department.

The Wastewater project has a deadline of March 15th.
