Chillicothe City Council to Hold Workshop and Regular Meeting August 25

The Chillicothe City Council will meet Monday, August 25th at City Hall.

 

A workshop session begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers to hold a finance meeting.

 

The council’s regular meeting will follow at 5:30 p.m. Among the agenda items: approval of invoices, payroll, and Municipal Utilities salaries. A public hearing will also be held on setting the 2025 property tax levy for the General and Parks Funds.

 

Other business includes a recommendation from Mayor Theresa Kelly for an appointment to the Railroad Advisory Board, and consideration of an ordinance to contract with Red Rock Inspections for asbestos services tied to a Community Development Block Grant demolition project.

 

The meeting will also feature reports from city officials, as well as a closed session at the conclusion.

 

Both the workshop and regular meeting are open to the public and will be held in the Council Chambers at Chillicothe City Hall located 715 Washington Street.
