Changes in contracts with the Livingston County Animal Shelter mean new responsibilities for the Chillicothe Police Department. Police Chief Jon Maples says they continue to work on the processes and procedures for Animal Control, but they do have an animal control person hired to handle the responsibilities.
Maples says Leadbetter is NOT a Police Officer.
Maples says one of Leadbetter’s strengths is education of pet owners.
