Chillicothe Police Facility Construction Progress

Contractors continue to make visible progress on the new Chillicothe Police Department building.  The project manager reports that in October:

  • Successful installation of ceiling grid throughout the building.
  • Substantial progress on the installation of all window and door systems.
  • The electrical team continues to make steady progress throughout the building, including light fixtures in the ceiling grid.
  • The exterior insulation and finishing systems completed.
  • HVAC contractors are on schedule to begin installation of the rooftop units (RTUs) by the end of the month.
  • The flooring contractor has commenced tile installation within the restroom areas. The tile/flooring work will continue throughout the month of November.

Work planned in November includes:

  • Installation of ceiling grid tile, ACM panels on the exterior, bathroom accessories and fixtures, and casework into early November.
  • Finish up tile work, start on epoxy and carpet tile.
  • Complete windows and doors, and install bulletproof glass.

The timeline shows completion is expected near the end of March.
