The move into the new Chillicothe Police Facility was completed this week. Police Chief Jon Maples says they tried to make the move with as few problems as possible.
Had the vendors and tech providers on hand and problem-solving ahead of the move and on moving day.
Maples says the new building is more efficient, including being on one level.
More accessible and ADA compliant.
When someone needs to come to the police department, they will enter through the doors on Cherry Street. The parking lot entrance is limited to building personnel only and allows for a more secure facility. When the officers are bringing someone in for booking, they will enter through the sally port, reducing the chances of outside interference with their detainee.
