Sixty-nine calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Monday,
Officers responded to several early-morning walk-in complaints, including a property dispute and concerns about possible threats.
Around 7:25 a.m., police handled a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 36 at South Mitchell Avenue after a vehicle struck a deer.
Officers conducted a well-being check late in the morning and investigated possible property damage on North Washington Street.
In the afternoon, police responded to a trespassing complaint and later checked on a report of a person lying in a ditch on McVey Street—discovering it was a child playing on a phone.
Around 5:45 p.m., officers took a report of a runaway juvenile who returned home before they arrived. The case was forwarded to the Juvenile Office.
And just before 11 p.m., officers arrested a 20-year-old man at Broadway and Calhoun for driving while intoxicated or drugged. He was processed and released pending a court date.
