Chillicothe Police Report For Thursday

More than 100 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Thursday.

Just after midnight, officers responded to suspicious activity in the 200 block of 3rd Street, where a man with a dog was trespassed and released. Later in the morning, police took a harassment complaint on Polk Street and investigated a forgery case at the school administration building.

In the afternoon, two theft investigations were reported — one involving stolen lawn mowers on South Mitchell Avenue, and another on South Washington Street where an employee was arrested for stealing.

That evening, officers assisted in locating an 83-year-old woman who had gone missing after a breakfast meeting; she was found safe in Iowa.

Police also made several traffic stops, issuing warnings for violations such as no headlights, expired plates, and equipment issues.
