Sixty-two calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Thursday. The calls include:
Officers issued several traffic warnings overnight and throughout the day. Two fraud reports were taken at the Law Enforcement Center, one involving a hacked bank account and another concerning an elderly man.
In the afternoon, police and firefighters responded to a false alarm on Garr Field Avenue. Later, officers searched several bridge locations after a woman made concerning statements online, but she was not found.
The most serious call came at 5:22 p.m. on Jackson Street, where a woman reportedly fired a pistol into a truck tire during a domestic disturbance. Multiple agencies assisted, and the woman was safely detained. Evidence, including the firearm and tire, was collected, and the case remains under investigation.
